one more paper

after the 4th paper today i have one left! looks like the end of the sem is near. going to fly back in 10 days? losing track of time i wrote the wrong date on my exam attendance slip today cause i thought it was thursday and not friday.

after the paper i had a really nice chat with my project mates over chocolate (yes hot chocolate and the waffle i had was terribly delicious). first time in my uni life i have experienced a good working relationship with my entire group, and this really pulled through to the potential friendship outside class and curriculum. well i got to know jimmy since week2 and we've been playing soccer the past few weeks, but today talking to all of them was just different. its like finding something strangely familiar somewhere foreign. i guess that's how friendship is supposed to be.

you know what they call the commentator's curse? that's in football when a commentator makes a conclusion about the game like "if it stays like this man u will win" or "it looks like this game will end scoreless" and the suddenly someone scores. everytime i hear someone say hey looks like we'll be good friends for a very long time or looks like we're really compatible (as friends) in the end NOTHING works out and i'll end up not talking to the person ever again. life's like that eh, the commentator's curse? so i guess you guys should beware about making foregone conclusions like that.

thought i had alot of things to say but guess its mind block now. too many models and theories and processes and pros and cons.

countdown to exams!

exams are starting in 7 days time! from next tuesday morning. im as unprepared as i was first sem here, when i had a slack attitude. and im planning on catching a match on the weekend before the first week. last year it was collingwood, this time round its the STORM!

storm plays at home against the rabbitohs this saturday. now 2 points off the top after losing the top of the table clash to manly, melbourne has to rebound without kaufusi, crocker and slater! should be pretty exciting if i watch it. night games always have a much better atmosphere than day games.

watched the champions league semifinal, where arrogant milan showed better finishing to exact vengence on liverpool. i can't believe the manner milan players were putting teams like man utd and liverpool down before the match. and i dare say milan was outplayed by liverpool, with pennant running riot down the right. but liverpool had only their finishing to blame, esp gerrard, who should have stepped up on this big occassion. i couldn't believe what pippo said about the freekick, and even more so how a macho athelete could crumble on the floor after taking a hit to waste time so blatantly. i really identify with kewell, that look on his face was priceless.

chelsea have finished off this season rather dissapointingly, considering the talent they recruited in the summer. at the end of a long season, the stars were not the expected signings sheva, ballack or ashley cole but 'dirty tackler' essien, obi mikel and kalou. not to mention the dependent drogba, who must surely take the tag mr dependable from frank lampard, who look exhausted after playing so many full seasons and a world cup. i think he needs a break of 3-4 months without football. he looks devoid of creativity and drive, and at many times duplicates makalele's job by dropping to collect balls from the defence and returning those balls. looking forward to next season, although it is worrying that the african cup of nations will deprive us of our best performers this season. we need to sign a centre back and another backup striker desperately, but the bank account is no longer as accessible as it once was.

playing soccer now at carlton gardens once a week. pretty fun because there are few people so its mostly 3 0n 3 or 4 on 4. lots time for us to get on the ball.

attended MBS info session yest, quite inspiring, but i don't think i can qualify with my limited work experience. that italian from marketing was not helpful at all! idiot. going with kevin to the MAC info session today.

got hit by a bloody indian taxi driver, while stationary at a red light. asshole tried to get away without giving me his driver's licence. piece of shit said no damage, but in the end gave in cause i threathened to report hit and run. took my pen without asking for permission out of my hand. bloody asshole without any manners. taxi drivers! dogs of the earth.

doing OB notes now, really boring! well going home soon for some exciting times. hope weian has done our FA by then so we can print some tees! and hope we have lined up everything to do some photoshoots. have a fun job lined up and lots of food to eat! and father bought mother a bday present - a boxster! hope i get insurance so i can drive it w/o father in the car! need to drive the 308 too, been back twice and haven't driven it once.

ok better get back to some studying now!

haven't been here in a while, though it isn't because my life is smooth sailing! been really tired from completing assignments and doing stuff. well i ain't complaining cos i asked for it!

finish my diploma of financial planning! any one who needs financial planning advice can come ask me! yeah right i'll probably ask u to chuck everything you have on chelsea winning the treble next season.

this sem is coming to an end. in a bit more than a year's time i'll finish undergrad. another item of life completed, ticked off. then i'll decide if i'll continue with possibly a year of postgrad. can't imagine what it'll be like when i have to leave here. this rather roomy city apartment that i have been staying in for less than a year is really home to me. maybe it's because i have to clean up, cook and do everything that i don't do in spore. but it really does have a feeling of home.

i'm so comfortable here i wonder how i'll adapt when i go back. the weather's good, there's lots of sports on foxtel, lots of things to do, types of food to eat. the reason why i don't miss spore when i'm here is i know i'm going back and i'm going to stay there in the end. but i won't be coming back here after postgrad to stay for long, will probably miss it.

anyway hoon, yuwei and mun are coming in july! mega fun man! for 1 week. we'll be going to great ocean road with them, gab, kev & andrea, an & jen and wenjin. its going to be a blast. especially when we grab yuwei after he takes a bath and throw him out of the cottage at night with his wet towel. in the middle of winter! and we're planning a no english day! kevin is trying to polish his chinese desperately. haha. and we're going to have winning tournament. 8 players or more! an's bring his xbox so we can have concurrent matches!

going back in june! 95% will be working in ritz carlton in a chinese resturant kitchen. the head waitress said i'll probably start of doing dim sum. i'm so going to get yelled at, and i don't speak a word of canto! i'm so going to be dead.

end of year will probably get a job at an ad agency, wonder if i'll like the life. and i wanna take some time to go london! but dunno if i can find the time. find dave lun and gang, ollie and galen. too bad nala's not there if not can find him too. and mun will no longer be in england.

spent the morning marninating a rolled pork shoulder and making tomato sauce. k gonna play soccer soon i think i have to wake the guys up!
