NO SPORT

it's not that i hate singapore. i love it. of course i love it. this is where i was born and spent more than 20 years of my life. this is where all my friends and family are. this is where so many good memories developed.

but there are some parts of singapore that are disgusting, barbaric and revolting.

and one of them is the love for order, at all cost. sacrificing something that the country pretends to encourage. sport.

gab and me were playing footie, kicking the ball around in the park today. if this were australia, the kids with their parents would run up to us and gab would engage in casual chat with them about which team they support, the game at the weekend or the hottest players in the league now. people of all ages bring their dogs and and let them run free. so many games are being played in one park (soccer, footie, basketball, maybe even rugby).

when we kick stray balls, people don't look vengefully at you. they smile and pass the ball back to you. after all, sport is a way of life.

in this robotic, sim city-esque country, anal old men belonging to committees and councils aim to strangle life out of all children. they do not want us to play sport. stay at home and study til we are all programmed and ready to serve our country.

that asshole old man told us not to kick the ball for fear of breaking the lamp. we did not hit the lamp. we were kicking very lightly and controlled. and my point is even if we kicked the lamp, so what? brazilian players quote the street as their greatest school for soccer. even kids in paris grow up playing soccer in the streets, wherever they can play. but no way jose in brainless, follow the leader and shut the fuck up singapore.

stop playing sport. no sport. it destroys property. i think we should abolish the s-league. its a total waste of time and no one supports it. might as well send the footballers to do office work. helps our country better.

and on a side note. the way people bring their dogs to parks in australia and let them play and run loose brings shame to the manner in which singaporeans complain about other people's dogs.

so why pretend to encourage sport? we should even abolish sport in PE lessons in school. make everyone run circles round the track in step. sing songs in unison.

u call some of them quitters. i totally sympathise with them. forthose people here who are so selfish and want to engineer the perfect neighbourhood or country, not caring for other's needs or interests, go play sim city. or i may join the quitters and say proudly that i am smart and brave to quit this horrendous world with no sentiment and such a deprived way of life.
